Extraordinaria Guatemala

Mama e Hija, Antigua, Guatemala

This magical "land of many trees" is rich in colonial history, colorful textiles, Mayan cuisine and the most spectacular Mayan ruins you will find anywhere in the world. Twenty two languages are spoken in Guatemala, which possesses an extraordinary natural beauty and biological diversity: from lakes to mountains, forests and waterfalls to tropical rainforests and volcanos. Do you like nature, architecture, cooking, farmer's markets, cultural sites or just basking in beautiful scenery in a stunning hotel? There is something for everyone in this special part of Central America and what better way to start out your adventures than with a cup of some of the world's best coffee?!

Guatemala has been inhabited for a mind-blowing, twenty thousand years and almost half the population are indigenous decendants from the Maya civilization. The people are utterly warm and lovely, welcoming and proud of their country, which is exactly how you want to feel as a visitor. If you have an eye for textiles or design, this is your country. Elaborate details can be found everywhere you look from the churches to the food markets, the braids in women's hair and bright pops of color in the Guatemalan clothing. It's common to see flower petals artistically arranged on a cobblestone street, or walk by a eye popping parade adorned with hand made floats.

There are tons of excitiing activies for children as well. Guatemalans are very family-oriented people and welcome their young visitors with cooking classes, chocolate making, horse rides and visits to local farms. You can take boat trips on Lake Atitlan, camp if that is something you love to do, hike or just spend hours and hours walking around the gorgeous city of Antigua, admiring the beautiful colonial architecture.

We are so excited to be sending a very special family this Christmas/ New Years holiday to an extraordinary private villa in Antigua and Lake Atitlan to glamp and experience the area's natural beauty surrounded by coffee fields and villages. We cannot wait to hear from our clients, and see/ hear how they enjoyed their experiences.

We wish all of our clients a very happy holiday season and a prosperous, healthy New Year

and look forward to the exciting trips and adventures we will plan this coming year.

Feliz Navidad e Feliz Ano Nuevo!
